Hello friends, it’s been awhile and we have some news to share so let’s chat.
After our first year in business we were feeling AMAZING, then BAM covid hit shifting the way we had to do things. As a brand based on the idea of traveling and capturing a place through their small businesses - staying home posed a real hiccup.
Challenge accepted, so we pivoted and came up with the road trip box over the summer - allowing us to source product remotely while providing customers with a relatable concept since “normal” vaca’s were not possible. We LOVED every bit of this box.
Sadly as the fall crept up, as you well know, the stay at home situation did not change. No travel and no actual event to meet our makers meant yet another pivot. This is when we realized we were no longer having fun by pivoting but redefining our businesses to produce a service and losing out on those aspects that inspired us in the first place.
What we love about locallyus is traveling to a location, visiting all the small businesses, and hosting our events which brought together so many incredible women. Our boxes were a product of that passion and experience.
Fast forward to now - we have been thinking about what happens next for our brand. Small businesses need us (and YOU) now more than ever, but how do we keeping doing what we do and honoring these brands when the inspiration just isn’t there? For us, the answer is moving on while staying true to our goal of supporting small, women-owned businesses. While locallyus will officially close its doors this Friday, we will still be around telling you about all the incredible boss babes out there & putting our $$’s where it counts.
This was just a start to shine a light on small business and create a space that brought women together. Through the process we have uncovered new passions and ideas for the future. So we have made the decision to close this chapter and make space to manifest the next.
We are grateful, humbled, and proud to have worked with the numerous women locallyus has brought us. We promise this isn’t the end, just a pause before the next.
