We have woefully neglected this page but have great excuses, first our new Manual for the 18th Century Shirtmaker is now available and we have a new stays pattern in the works, "A Pair of Fashionable Stays" c1775-1785. Hoping to have the new pattern available by the first week of October. Lots more on the drawing board, but we will try to keep this page more current. We get a great many questions on stomachers, for many this type of gown is a new experience. One of the newest items in the shop are packets of John James Quilting Betweens and Glovers needles. You know how much we stress the importance of a good needle in our workshops. The right needle for the right thread makes hand sewing so much easier. We are very happy with the quality of these needles. Many of you have already "liked" this page and are probably wondering why one more page? I have always tried to keep the Golden Scissors more research based than commercial, and Steph and I are trying to keep the Hive page also strictly focused on research. So this seemed like a good idea. A place to ask questions, show off your projects and we will occasionally show some of our wares and goods as well.
