Might not look like a lot, but after 6 years of hard work, this is what’s left of my side business. Close to 1700 brand new hats, gloves, sweatshirts, 1/4 zips, sports bras, sweaters, sweatpants and shorts, and t-shirts being sent to a far better home than I could give them.

You have helped my husband and I raise close to $10,000 in 3 days for these 2 organizations I care deeply about. 75% of that came in in the last 24 hours thanks to him and so many of you.

The compassion is outstanding and so deeply appreciated.

For every person who has unfollowed me or sent a nasty dm, I have another 10 messages from women telling me to not stop being loud. I don’t plan to be.

I am honored, touched, grateful, and humbled. Thank you for supporting women, and helping and inspiring me on the journey to feeling whole again, and getting my life back.

Please believe and listen to the women in your life.

Today I made an even more important decision:

I have decided to stop all sales of Clovis items to the public. I will be donating every piece of inventory I have left to (secondchances.org) in the hopes of helping women who aren’t as fortunate, as privileged, or as lucky as I was to have a support system, resources, or network to be as loud as I want to be about suffering abuse at the hands of a man.

Second Chances delivers free, empowering clothing to hundreds of people experiencing poverty, crisis, and housing instability in the Boston area. They do incredible work for our local community, and while Clovis has been my pride and joy for so many years, I would rather a life where I support others over being a “cool” instagram brand.

I know many of you have been waiting for new designs and restocking old favorites. Those will always be a part of me, as is this community (I don’t plan on going anywhere, but I am drawn to something greater than “looking good, feeling good” for athleisure sake.
If you’ve been here for awhile, you’ve known that’s always what I’ve touted, as a means to feel secure when you are uncertain or out of your depths.

I now see the opportunity to do this for an entire community who could benefit so greatly from something as small as “look good, feel good.” To one person, this could be everything. And to me, now, I am only called to do something great for a community I never wanted to be part of, but one I will now scream from the rooftops supporting and doing what I can to make a difference.

This is not meant to be performative, it’s just the truth. As devoted customers you deserve the right to know, and to hopefully know when you’re wearing Clovis, you’re wearing something that actually means something. That stands for something.

Just going to dive right in here: THE CLOVIS HOUSEHOLD is MOVING!!!!! And guess what?! I don’t want to move anything I don’t have to.

We are closing a chapter (not living in the personal hell that is my *own* damn crime scene) and moving to our new home as a married couple who is ready to move on and start fresh after *hopefully* finishing up the nightmare saga that has consumed my life for 9 months in court this coming Monday.

And we are moving. Some inventory is low, some is out of stock. New things from Clovis will come when I regain my life and soul. But for now - is you were on the fence, if you want to stock up, if you want to replace - get to it because we added an extra 10% to end the misery that is the haunted inventory closet (and will soon have a non-haunted inventory closet that is an entire room 😭🥹)

No codes. No nonsense.

We’re going to court tomorrow, so taking the opportunity where everything feels like despair to share something happy:

On November 5th I married the love of my life in 2 different vintage dresses and celebrated with our favorite friends at our Guy Fawkes Day murder mystery themed pizza party with decorations we made ourselves. It was perfect 🤍

•Daytime: 1970’s Emanuel Ungaro dress, Giorgio Armani heels, vintage fox and rabbit coat that covered everyone in fur (sorry about that!)

•Nighttime: 1960’s Gay Gibson dress (no name designer from Kansas City, very Carrie Bradshaw per who found her 🥹), and 2022 Loewe heels sparkly bow heels that I am indeed in love with

I found Rubik’s dress on Poshmark and dismantled it, but only after I had messaged the seller “what is the measurement of the waist?” on a toddler’s dress, so my apologies to the woman who sold me that and probably thought I was fat-shaming 4 year olds. Indeed, I was just buying a designer dress for my dog. Much more normal.

Grateful for everyone who showed up and the fashun they brought with them. And even more grateful that in the midst of something really sh*tty to have to go through, we got to create the happiest memories that will stay with us during the darkest days.

Can’t think of a better way to Remember Remember the Fifth of November 🤍

Not going to lie - assembling this made me tear up.

I’m not sure if it’s because things have been especially, ESPECIALLY difficult lately (yes despite getting engaged and being ecstatic to plan your version of a dream wedding! Some people don’t seem to understand those things can both exist within you at the same time), or because I have had an unbelievable 5 months of literally the most insane and horrible things happening in my life. But, putting together 5 1/2 years on Clovis in print on this board today took me out.

If I had to pull out the feelings wheel my therapist always shows me to ask “well what emotion are you really feeling” (and the answer is almost always ANGER), I’d just get weepy and then angry and then gesture ::all of them:: and then hiss at her like a cat and neither of us would talk about it again.

Putting this together for Open Studios this weekend was the perfect reminder of everywhere Clovis has taken me. I am unbelievable grateful for every person and every connection it has brought me along the way.

And I want to say thank you all for collectively giving me a glimpse of who I used to be. Someone who feels very far away from me today. Maybe not every day, but especially today.

I have so much love for all of you. If I can’t always have my old life, I’m still so very happy I get to have all of you. Thank you 🤍

Other people’s weddings….
My wedding ^ ❤️🖤

Never been a “big princess gown, pay for 250 people to eat prime rib while having a bridezilla meltdown in the bathroom and 9 bridesmaids who hate each other while people buy plates I don’t need” kind of girl. Instead, I met the love of my life who knows exactly how weird I am, and I know exactly how weird he is, who was completely on board with me having a wedding that’s equal parts Clue (movie AND board game), V for Vendetta, Alice in Wonderland, and….New Girl.

City Hall, 30 of our closest and most fun friends, some Ungaro, some Dior, a little Oscar de la Renta and the perfect amount of Armani. Dior for the dog, too.

Not one traditional thing, not one weird and creepy and fun detail left out. The most random activities you could imagine. Even those in the know have no idea what surprises to expect. And honestly, this is the most on brand and normal thing for me to plan (I spent the morning tea-staining and wax sealing cryptic envelopes because why not)

We have 24 days left to go and honestly, if we did the typical year long wait, someone would’ve tried to convince me to do anything but what we wanted or what we needed. Anyone here knows that is simply just not who I am.

If I can’t marry my best friend in vintage Ungaro in the weirdest, non-traditional way possible, then I don’t want it.

And also, if the fashion posts are less it’s because I am still wax sealing cryptic notes into envelopes and laughing to myself like an evil genius.

Idk I am personally having a really weird day so to make up for it here are several awkward and/or blurry selfies of everything I wore for 11 days in UK (give or take 2-4 outfits)

All vintage designer. Dior to Tom Ford Gucci to Givenchy made for Audrey Hepburn to Vionnet to Channel to Dior like 4 more times and, of course, UNGARO.

Outfits always help. No matter what your mood, the outfits will always help.

💙 1990’s Vintage Bob Mackie navy blue and fuschia dress. She’s GORGEOUS but sadly has never made it out of my closet 😭
