• Getting Grounded •

The new year is full of new beginnings and a fresh start. Towards the end of 2021 I was bogged down, overwhelmed and lacking any creative drive. January came and I still did not feel “refreshed”. No one tells you about all the hats you wear as a one woman run business (+ 2 kitties, but no opposable thumbs so 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I was reminded of the reason I started Fat Max Design Co. I needed a creative outlet. I used my science background to create a product that I wanted to use and have in my home. I fell in love with the process of making candles and room sprays and wanted to share my passion to help brighten my community.

Taking the time to reset and find my grounding has emphasized the importance of physical + emotional health. The time off has benefitted my creativity and vision for Fat Max Design Co. for this coming year.

All this to say, enjoy the coffee, buy the candle and Fat Max is ready for 2022!

Meet Melissa!
I blend, pour and package Fat Max Design Co.‘s natural soy wax candles in my kitchen in Boston, where I live with my two sweet kitties, Beau and Zoe. When I’m not making candles I am at university studying to become a nurse. The Fat Max brand was born from the love of Max and my vision is to create beautiful candles that burn cleanly and safely, while adding warmth to your home. For me, candles have always been a source of light and warm embrace that I hope I can share with you.

Upcycle your candle jars 🕯
•
Directions:
Heat oven to 190°F/90°C
Place candle on an oven rack for 10-20 minutes
Pour wax into disposable cup - never pour down the drain!
Use a spoon to lift up the wick tab
Wipe down the jar
Wash the jar with soap
Fill your jar with your favorite items!
