This is a different kind of post, but it’s something that’s been on my heart.
Over the last few years I’ve been so grateful for the community I’ve found here. Through customers, vendors, and other makers, this space has given me so much support, even during seasons when I’ve been a little inconsistent because life gets busy.
I also want to start being more open about my faith. When I first started making candles, it wasn’t because of faith. It was simply something creative that I loved doing. But over time I’ve realized how much God has been working through different seasons of my life, including through this business.
The past two years have been full of change. I earned my certificate in entrepreneurship, moved twice, got married, bought our first home, got two kittens who truly feel like my children, work full time, and back in school to pursue my associate’s degree.
There have definitely been moments where I’ve felt overwhelmed or unsure, but I’m learning that I don’t have to control everything. I’m learning to trust God more and allow Him to guide my path.
Moving forward I want to be more open about my faith through this candle journey. Candles bring light and warmth, and for me they are a reminder of the light God brings into our lives. Everything I do is for His glory.
