I'm about to start our 30th year of Spring Snow Goose hunts and the timing looks perfect! We have just a few spots left if someone is looking for just a day hunt. Thanks for all the well wishes, it was quite overwhelming! Several people asked if I had any pictures or videos of Mari retrieving more than 1 bird at a time. I had to dig deep but found this one years ago of her bringing back a snow and a blue.

Our family got a lot smaller today. After 14 years of unconditional love, Mari was sent to Heaven's hunting ground. Such a hard decision and I probably should've done it sooner. She still had the scar on her nose from her grandma teaching her to stay away from her food bowl. Mari was never affectionate, she was always business first and so smart. She would always bring back 2 or 3 ducks at the same time. She would even bring back 2 geese in her mouth! I played snow goose sounds on her last ride and her ears perked up like they always did when she heard them coming in MO to Saskatchewan. I started thinking about all the great dogs that I have been blessed with and I realize my boat will be full of them when we meet again. May the wind be at your back and the ducks in your face ol girl. ❤️

Starting to get excited for Spring Snows. This will be my 30th year in Northwest Missouri! Wow, Im getting old! 😆 A good friend offered up his blind trailer for the pond so it will get even more comfortable! Trailer hunts 8 guys and is a lot warmer than using a backrest like we did the first year back in 1997! Our other fields will still be A-frames which still are more comfortable than layout blinds. Our January PIT hunt is approaching fast! We still have January 6 and 7th available for up to 7 hunters. This is mainly a Giant Canada Goose hunt but these 2 days are also the last 2 days of the duck season in this zone. $1200 per day for a group up to 7. $75 per person for food and lodging. The geese are not following our plans! Due to the very warm winter the geese are on the move and a good week ahead of our first scheduled hunts. I realize it's short notice but from this Saturday the 24th through March 1st we are offering $100 per person hunts based out of Mound City, MO. Hunts are from shooting time until 1:00. You will then have the option to hunt until 5:30 for an additional $30. You will also be responsible for your own food and lodging. We are the longest running Spring Snow Goose Guide Service in MO starting back in 1997! We will treat you right! If my other scheduled clients would like to add more people or days (depending on availability)I will also honor the $100 offer for you as well! We mix groups to a 7-8 hunter Maximum plus your 1 guide. We run all our clients in comfortable A-frames. No more laying on the ground!
