In our travels internationally we have found that new, high quality clothes are not affordable for the majority of people in many areas. Their choices are to purchase very low quality new clothes, for a moderate price - knowing those clothes and shoes will tear and wear out almost immediately upon wearing them. Or, many choose to purchase "Ropa Americana" which is used, discarded thrift store over

stock from the USA. The Ropa Americana is usually less expensive, and higher quality than the new clothes they would barely afford.
