Not all filler is forever—and sometimes the best treatment is knowing when to dissolve it.
Hyaluronidase (often called Hylenex®) is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. We use it when:
• Filler has migrated
• Results are uneven or overfilled
• A patient simply wants a fresh start
• There is concern for a vascular complication (where immediate treatment is critical)
A few important facts:
✨ It only dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers (like Juvederm®, Restylane®, RHA®, and Revanesse®). It does not dissolve products like Sculptra®, Radiesse®, or Bellafill®.
✨ The amount needed varies depending on the type, amount, and age of the filler.
✨ Dissolving can happen surprisingly quickly, but sometimes multiple sessions are needed for complete correction.
