😍 🐰 can’t wait to see this finished!

On my cutting table this week is a Samaren - designed by Erica-Lee Helgerson of Lavender & Twine. If you're not familiar, Erica is royalty in the bag-making universe. Her designs are simply stunning. Her patterns and tutorials are beautifully crafted and a dream to sew no matter your skill level. I downloaded this pattern almost a year ago and have been trying to choose materials ever since. The Marie panel has been waiting for the right project for a while now - and this floral from Cotton and Twirls Fabric pulled it all together for me with Orla Caulfield and More Me Know materials playing strong supporting roles. Now to get past my current projects to get this one on the machine!

What other hobbies do you have besides sewing? Here, we love to cook yummy things 😋 just made these amazing gluten- and egg-free cinnamon rolls with a delicious cream cheese frosting from The Loopy Whisk and they are SO GOOD!

Curved edges warping while you staystitch? Try this simple trick!

Project or trace your pattern onto a piece of tissue paper, then lay your fabric on top and pin it in place (I pinned it to the wool mat first to avoid any shifting while pinning even!). The tissue paper helps stabilize slippery fabrics and keeps those curves exactly where they should be as you staystitch.

When you're finished, simply tear away the tissue paper. You'll be left with beautifully shaped curves that match your original pattern—with far less shifting and fussing.
