Secretly Distribution was founded in 1997, to help get the music of a few growing labels into the hands of the people that needed to hear it.

SD is excited to start a series highlighting organizations providing advocacy and support to professionals and artists in the music industry.

First up: meet Q***r Capita, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building community and career opportunity for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies in the music industry. QC has grown to 1,500+ members and produced 65+ events across NYC, LA and Nashville, alongside free programs including mentorship cohorts, a weekly Music Industry Job Board and Ask Capita career advice. Heading into its 5th anniversary in 2027, QC is expanding with more events in all three cities, a new peer-to-peer networking platform, and Pride activations in every market.

It’s been a month since SD labels and partners from the world over joined us in Bloomington for Label Summit, and we are still feeling the joy halo from getting to spend time with so many of the world’s best labels, who are also the world’s best humans!
