This is an acrylic painting of "PARKER"... my English Setter. Parker died on October 29, 2018. He lived for over 15 years and he was my best friend, hunting buddy and companion... my "dog of a lifetime". I have had five dogs who shared my life and I loved all of them completely and without reservation. But Parker was special and it made this one of the most difficult paintings I have ever done. I felt that Parker was laying on the sofa in my studio the whole time I worked on his painting.

MY CLIENTS WERE FROM AROUND THE WORLD... ENGLAND, GERMANY, ITALY, MEXICO, BRAZIL, SOUTH AFRICA, JAPAN AND MORE. ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH MY ART CAREER, I STARTED DOING WILDLIFE ART AND PORTRAITS OF PEOPLE AND DOGS, CATS AND ALL MANNER OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND BIRDS. I RETIRED FROM COMMERCIAL ILLUSTRATION IN 2003 AND NOW DO WILDLIFE, SPORTING ART, AND DOG AND PEOPLE PORTRAITS ONLY, MAKING THIS A TOTAL OF ALMOST 60 YEARS AS AN ARTIST.
