An outpouring of support from the cow horse family overwhelmed Veronica Swales after her fall in the Open Derby preliminary cow work. While she is sore, Veronica is doing great.

Last night, she expressed her thanks for the prayers and concern by reading this letter. Cow horse community, you are amazing!

SB287 is a good piece of legislation. The bill allows recreational horse trailer drivers to fall under the same DMV rules as other recreational vehicle drivers. This will help them avoid expensive and time consuming commercial licenses that are not required of others driving recreational vehicles.

Brave. Pray for Minarets Pack Station, their crew, stock, and guests. Bad fire, driving them up.

Last week we got the call. Packed our bags and loaded the mules to assist with supplying gear to our firefighters on the front lines. When an inversion sets in, which happens as a fire creates its own weather pattern, the helicopters can’t fly cutting off the men and woman fighting the fire on the ground from their supply train. Technology can have its place, but nothing can beat a string of mules. Sometimes to move forward, you have to go back.
