Sad day coming up on Friday. It will be the 6th anniversary of the death of Dario Pegoretti. He was certainly a master builder, having built for professional cyclists Miguel Indurain, Marco Pantani, Stephen Roche, Claudio Chiappucci, Mario Cipollini, and Andrea Tafi and a number of bikes for Robin Williams who gave them as gifts. He built me a custom Luigino and I also have a Fina Estampa.

I have a small collection of face jugs and other NC pottery. I found this to be a fascinating article about one of the great black potters and the tough life he lived as an enslaved potter.

David Drake (c. 1800 – c. 1870s), also known as "Dave Pottery" and "Dave the Potter," was an American potter and enslaved African American who lived in Edgefield, South Carolina. Drake lived and worked in Edgefield for almost all his life.[1]

I now live in Tucson and still have 40+ bikes and 20+ frames. If you would like a spreadsheet listing what is or might be available, send me an email. There are no prices on the spreadsheet since I’m flexible on prices and will probably keep 6-8-10 of the items since I still enjoy riding and tinkering and some on the list were built by friends.

Still missing the Brothel!

On my way to crashing the beginning of SSAZ down in Bisbee I made a stop by a place I have been wanting to make an excuse to shoot for quite some time now.
