Broken not Shattered

Broken not Shattered My interest in glass started when I was going to pottery conventions with my sister who at that time owned a pottery store.

These conventions had some classes in glass slumping which I found very interesting! When my local recycling center stopped taking glass I thought there had to be a better use of all this glass than tossing in the landfills, so my experiments began. I opened my Etsy Store page Broken not Shattered https://www.etsy.com/shop/brokennotshattered on 29 Jan, 2011 and have just recently started showing

at the Birmingham Art Crawl for Artisans which allows local artisans to display their work every third Thursday of the month in the Downtown Historic District on 2nd Avenue North from 5-9 PM. My goal is to not only repurpose the glass but make it an interesting and useful piece of art. Custom orders taken for all items, including color preferences.
