Congratulations are in order for Field Culture Compost, a member of our extended CrossPlex Villlage Business Community!

Field Culture Compost, founded by Matt Nesbitt and Alex Thompson, was announced as one of the winners of the Alabama Launchpad Finale on June 11.

By partnering with local businesses, Field Culture Compost can turn leftovers into environmentally-friendly compost, which can then be used on food-growing farms and in home gardens and landscapes. Future company plans include becoming a permitted commercial compost producer to rescue the waste that goes into landfills.

We are excited to celebrate this major accomplishment for Field Culture Compost and looking forward to future growth and success!

First coronavirus appointment-only site to open Monday

Beginning Sunday, March 22, at noon, those who have COVID-19 symptoms can 205-975-1881 for an screening.

Starting Monday, March 23, hours to call for an appointment will be 7 a.m.-11 p.m., seven days a week.

Appointments for the Downtown COVID-19 Testing Site will be scheduled between 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. seven days a week.

The site will be located at the corner of University Boulevard and 22nd Avenue South.
