Today I’m sharing a glimpse into the remarkable world of Hilma af Klint (October 26, 1862 – October 21, 1944), a visionary Swedish artist whose abstract paintings remained largely unseen during her lifetime.

Believing her work was created for a future generation that would better understand it, she requested that it not be exhibited until at least 20 years after her death. In fact, it took decades longer before the art world truly recognized the extraordinary originality of her vision.

Whether you see her paintings as spiritual exploration, symbolic language, or simply beautiful mystery, her work reminds us that not everything is meant to be understood all at once. Some ideas wait patiently for the right moment—and the right audience.
