Hey y'all, we haven't posted in a while, but since you are all our family, I knew you would want an update on us.
1st: I have taught the kiddo to make fudge, so we may be closer to getting back out there than I thought!
2nd, and more timely: I know a lot of y'all met this kid as a 6 year old who opened the door at the shop, but now she is a thriving big kid 😮 who is in the Jr Ranger finals of only 16 kids across the country. We aren't at the top with only 2 days left, but we have our fingers crossed! It's a fundraiser for the National Wildlife Federation, but you can vote for free. Today is double votes day, just sayin 🤣
Either way, it felt good to check in and I hope everybody is doing great!!!

Hey guys, sorry about the spam on here... uuug. I think it's handled, so we should be good.
Sorry we haven't been communicating! I stopped checking this account and haven't been getting notifications 😕
We are doing great, the kiddo is awesome, and we are still on a break for a while. Getting to spend time with my kid made me realize what I was missing, so I decided to stay with her until she is a little bigger.
How are all of you guys?!

Pooh bear said it best... "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." We were thrilled to make pieces for the sweetest baby shower. 🥰 The Pooh Bear piece is milk chocolate filled with a layer of local honey and a layer of caramel. Piglet is white chocolate filled with fresh blackberries. Tigger is a super bright and punchy passion fruit in white chocolate. Eeyore is a smooth dark chocolate filled with a smoky Earl Grey ganache. I loved doing this collection so much that we might have to make it again! 🧸
As for Sky Bear news, we have been crazy busy getting our stuff organized and set up, but have been making time to do the occasional special order. We have a few options we are weighing, but for now, we are talking about doing a pop-up soon with a few new things we want to test out on y'all... Thanks for everything guys! See y'all real soon! ❤️

Well, that's all folks! We had a good run. I have gotten a lot of concerned calls, but I promise we are ok. Business was wonderful and our regulars were amazing, but it is without a doubt time for us to part ways with this sweet old building.
We are still taking a much needed break to hang out with family and take naps before we make any long term decisions, but we are still honoring gift cards and continuing to do bulk orders. We will keep y'all posted, but until then, thank you all for the outpouring of support and love. We'll see y'all real soon, love - the Sky Bear family ♥️

This is our last official week in this building, so we are marking down everything 20% except for our handmade items and coffee. If you want to stock up on some awesome Sky Bear giftables, now is the time! We are still making turtles, fudge, and cookies, and still have several chocolates, but if you want to guarantee anything, make sure to shoot us a message or give us a call. See y'all real soon!

We sold out of our first batch of Velma's bars, so I got right back in the kitchen and made them again! That means we are stocked, but not for long... We used our favorite Felchlin Java chocolate to give this bar a smooth smoky flavor along with local whiskey caramel and, of course... just like Velma's bar was, our bar is filled with nuts... peanuts that is.
Y'all have some amazing and hilarious Velma's stories and we have loved hearing each and every one that has been shared with us!

We have news... In honor of being part of the historic Velma's building legacy, we decided to make a Velma's Bar! Available this Thursday, June 16th, she is dark chocolate filled with local whiskey caramel, smoky chocolate ganache, and of course, filled with nuts! And with that, starting July 4th, the Sky Bear family will be on a temporary sabbatical. We have been faced with a crossroads to double-down on our current location or side step for a moment to pursue an amazing opportunity. Our current location has been amazing, but it is no longer a viable option for us. Pausing a thriving business was a decision we did not make lightly. We love our Trussville family and definitely plan to make a triumphant return much sooner than later. Until we are back to full speed, we will be doing occasional pop-ups and drop offs, so definitely keep up with our social media where we will keep you all informed. Until then, our current location will close July 3rd with a few last chance pop ups in July. We do have something potentially in the works, so this won't be a goodbye, just a see y'all real soon. This featured piece is called the 'Bless Your Heart' and it is filled with caramel made from real southern sweet tea layered with fresh peach, and it's so good it will make you want to slap your Mama! The reception of this collection has been as warm as all get out, so much that just dills my pickle! Y'all... I have loved all of our collections, but this is my favorite so far! Today's featured piece is an iconic sign every Alabamian knows... Go to church or the Devil will get you! This piece is sweet and spicy, a red pepper cinnamon ganache layered perfectly to build a perfect level of heat. See y'all real soon! 🤗

Our love letter to our home will be released tomorrow! The next collection is the "Sweet Home Alabama" ♥️ This piece is called "The Beautiful" topped with the Alabama state insect, the Monarch Butterfly and filled with the Alabama state Fruit, blackberry in a white chocolate ganache.
