Did you know Montana's wool production has dropped by about two-thirds over the last 30 years? 🐑

This summer, Montana State University opened a new Wool Lab to help turn that around. They're working to make wool more profitable for ranchers and to breed softer wool that's comfortable right next to your skin.

That's a big part of why we love carrying Montana yarns here in our little cabin in Bigfork. Every skein from EarthStar, To***co Root Valley, Range Camp, and Steitzhof supports a ranch family and keeps Montana fiber traditions going.

Don’t know what to get the guy in your life for Christmas? I bet he doesn’t have a spoon carving set? What is more relaxing than sitting by the fire and carving? 🔥hey, it’s fiber too. This is such a cool hobby to pick up. Pretty soon you can make spoons from branches etc. Beavercraft is a well known company, these sets are well made. The smell of leather and the crackling fire & a dram of wh***ey makes a man happy. 🥰
