🎉✨️Volunteer Spotlight: We’d like to take a moment to recognize one of our most Valuable Volunteer.
✨️Kim Amos—affectionately known as our “Friday Girl”—is a valued member of the Thrift Store team at Shop Around the Corner.
✨️Kim brings both skill and compassion to her role. She holds a CNA certificate as well as certification in medication assistance, reflecting her dedication to caring for others. Her professional background complements her natural ability to connect with people and create a warm, inviting environment. 🎉
✨️Like many of His Ministries’ Thrift Store Managers, Kim serves one day a week, but she intentionally chose Fridays. It’s the day when many of the staff are present, allowing her to be part of the camaraderie and connection that make those mornings so special. 🎉✨️The shared conversations, laughter, and sense of community set the tone for a joyful and productive day.
Before joining the team, Kim was a regular shopper who loved browsing the store and experiencing its welcoming atmosphere. When she noticed a need for volunteers, she didn’t hesitate to step in. What began as a simple act of service quickly became a meaningful way for her to give back to the community while doing something she genuinely enjoys.
🎊✨️Outgoing and quick-witted, Kim has a joyful personality that brightens every room she enters. She thrives during busy days at the store, especially when she has the chance to meet new customers and make them feel welcome. Her sense of humor and positive energy are contagious, and her presence makes Fridays something everyone looks forward to.
