Pilea Care

🌿bright, indirect light.
🌿Soil. Pilea plants prefer a moderately rich, well-draining potting mix. Soggy soil can cause root rot and kill a plant.
🌿Water. Pilea plants have medium to high water needs. Water whenever the first inch of soil dries out.

Generally I can see when the plant needs water, the leaves begin to droop.

Does anyone else keep their ferns in Terra Cotta?

I found this tip last year after NOT getting an A in Fern care 😳🤪. I plant them in Terra Cotta but place them in trays filled with water. They do very well absorbing what they need from the tray. No more dry brittle ferns or fungus gnats for me!

That explains it! She wasn't absorbing water, so for the last month this asparagus Fern had to be dropped in a bucket of water. Well, I finally had time to repot to find very little soil left 🤦

Overlook the mess, repotting for three hours =messy 🫣

Did you know... The Dog Tail Cacti is most commonly confused for the Rat Tail cacti. This cactus has a large white fragrant flower and blooms at night, but it is extremely rare to get the cactus to bloom. It is and epiphytic plant meaning it grows in the ground or on another plant, in its native habitat it will vine around the tree it calls home

Stop down at at the and pick up your new epiphytic cactus to add to your jungle!!

Are you ready for this weekends Market? We are and we have a few new plants ready to go!
