The Bettendorf’s Big Clothing Sale is going down this weekend!!

Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 21 to Saturday, May 23. We are starting at 9 am each day. Thursday night we are staying open until 7 pm!!!! We heard the requests from folks who work the 9-5.

The City of Brotherly Love… did us well. We just popped into a couple of vintage shops and of course I found something for myself and well… Kacy’s special piece from the trip came from the Rocky gift shop at the art museum… god bless that guy!

No thrift stops or planned vintage shopping. Kacy has never been east of Tennessee, so we had a lot to see and do around the city. Space is also a commodity in the car when taking my nephew and his stuff home for the summer 😔

True JoY!!

While picking up our nephew from school in Philly, we always make a journey to Germantown to see Tom, the dry cleaner. Yes my nephew researched which dry cleaner would take the best care of his clothes (don’t ask 🤦🏼‍♀️).

This year, I had a project for Tom. To fix my beloved Pendleton sweater vest with moth holes and a vintage skirt I had found wadded up and stained in the bins - I was hoping he could work his magic and bring these two pieces back to life.

I remembered the sweater but had completely forgotten about the skirt. When he came around the corner carrying that, my eyes widened, my jaw dropped, I squeeled, jumped, clapped, and hugged the man! Kacy was like, “now I know what real joy looks like for Kim!” 😝😍🙌🏻

Keep in mind this skirt would only fit a 6’ tall person with a 17” waist but I know I can retrofit it into something spectacular.

He has a contact from the Lenape tribe living in Kansas he trusted my sweater with. And I remember from our tour last year of his business he was gifted at cleaning tablecloths and horribly stained pieces (the key is 30% hydrogen peroxide).

Just thrilled with his work and that Kacy got to meet Tom and talk all things PA sports.
