We carry only new titles, deep discount books, greeting cards and gift certificates in any denomination. We provide touch-free in-store check-out and convenient online purchasing. Curbside pick up is available. Our book groups and author events are all currently in person with a virtual option. We are a member of the American Bookseller's Association and its division, Indiebound.

Our Story

Byrd's Books is located at 178 Greenwood Avenue in new construction directly across from the Bethel Public Library. We carry only new titles with a specialty in Connecticut authors, illustrators, poets and publishers. There is plenty of on-street parking with additional parking lots in the surrounding area around the store, including the Bethel Library. We are a member of the American Bookseller's Association and its division, Indiebound. We are open for special events at night!!
