Our new pickup system is ready for early access! While we work out the final material design, we are offering to build and install on any personal violin, viola, cello, or bass! It is a very simple piezzo design by Christo, utilizing 3d printed parts. It is installed through the f-hole near the soundpost, and uses 1/4" instrument cables. We've been testing them at Christo's church, so we know they work well with sound systems! Call us with questions! $50 through end of year (then, we'll hopefully have it available in kit form with upgraded materials).

Finally! Our silicone pencil frogeeze are ready! We are currently working on prepping the cello and viola molds. These are all hand made in small batches, and once our tear resistant silicone arrives, we’ll be able to dye them too! Also seen in the photo is the first mold being prepped for our carbon fiber neck (for the neary ready final revision of the NX series of our electric hybrid violin). One more round of testing then we’ll be releasing all the info on our main website, complete with full documentation if you are adventurous to try it yourself (it’s really hard, and takes just as long to just make one out of wood, just different skills needed). Anyway, just a small update! If you are interested in the Frogeeze, come by the store next week to see the prototypes 🙂 The new models will be ready mid to late march, and will be mostly made on order (again, by hand), so if you want custom colors, let us know when you come in. Special pricing will be available for school orders. We’re targeting $2.25 with a Ticonderoga pencil, Dixon pencils will be ised for the cello version, and procing will depend on those once they are complete.

Frog-eez Violin Frog is now available to download free! They fit standard Ticonderoga pencils, and can be scaled by a skilled 3d printer to fit others. Buy the dollar version if you like the file! We'll make more versions as we can. Currently experimenting with silicone versions. The process takes time, but we are making progress!

My father is a veteran.
My father is the most caring, devoted, dedicated, loving, and wonderful man I know. He has shown through example how to be the best man I can be, and I love him dearly for that. This man, who has served in the United States Air Force my entire childhood, who is a war hero to me after serving in multiple conflicts, still managed to be a father to me. He is also responsible for encouraging my growth as a musician, and ultimately a Violin Maker. Just a few days ago, I got to see him relive his youth as we listened to jazz standards. It really made me appreciate some of the sacrifices he made to serve. He was a young musician, a clarinet and sax player. But he gave up his dreams to serve, and in partnership with my mother, start a family. In Canada, he was a founding member of a small Air Force band, but today, he still feels that rush of "playing with the band" on stage. I can see he misses it. Thank you, father, for supporting me in all I do! So today, please remember our veterans.
