This is a picture of a drain hose from a sunroof. Appears that something was eating it. First time I’ve ever seen this part chewed up. Fortunately it can be replaced with off the shelf vinyl hose from the hardware store. The hose is close to six feet long in the car.

Big job earlier today on a 2013 Outback. Low mileage car that hadn’t had any of the manufacturers recommended mileage interval maintenance done. Serviced front and rear differentials, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant and spark plugs. This was probably the cleanest Outback of this generation that I’ve seen in a while. This customer will get many more miles from this one.
Do you get sticker shock when the dealer tells you the cost of the recommended maintenance? I’m your solution. Fifteen years at Subaru dealers, a year at Lexus, two years at Saturn and over a dozen years in the aftermarket. I’ll tell you what you need and what can wait. Had a 2015 Forester in the shop today. Issues were that the tpms light was always on and the keyless entry didn’t work. Customer also mentioned a grinding noise on turns.
After some diagnosing, I found that the tpms light and the keyless entry issue were one and the same root cause. The keyless entry module was the culprit. The grinding noise were the original brakes. Simple fix’s, albeit not cheap. This one will be back on the road tomorrow. Sometimes electrical issues can be simple, sometimes not.
