We'll call this one "Charity". This is a guitar for Red Rock Job Corps that came in a total wreck. An 80s Ibanez whos Neck was bowed severely, several big cracks in the back, broken nut and some kind of epoxy in the bridge slot. This guitar honestly was not worth the many hours that were put into it... until you equate someone getting the chance to find music through playing it... then it becomes priceless... so I repaired it for them for 20$. Hopefully it makes a difference in someone's life.

I have finally reached a point where awesome guitars are being dropped off for repair... ladies and gentlemen.... a 1962 White guard tele in for electronics restoration... I have died and gone to heaven! Now.... to find era correct parts. This one is going to be a blast!

My first strat replica. Custom finish Daphne Blue over Sherwood Green Translucent relic, 59 "Fender" Stratocaster. Fender Yosemite pickup set, 250k cts pots, .22nF orange drop cap w/ treble bleed circuit, 3 Way blade switch, vintage wiring, Fender bridge, Switchcraft jack, locking tuners. This was my first attempt at an "over finish" relic. Im still adjusting a few things as she settles in. Im 95% pleased. I know where to improve on the next one... a tele maybe?

Added some "thumb bleeders" to the 335, and the Pellham Blue SG Special tonight. A simple addition that finishes the "gibson look" imo.

On the bench today: a 2020 Epiphone ES335 Gets some new Kluson Deluxe tuners and a set up!

On the bench today is a 7 string Lefty Dean that needed to be gone through and made stage ready. New strings, set up, cleaning the fretboard, polishing the frets, the floyd took a bath in the Ultrasonic cleaner for 2 cycles, plugging and replacing the lower strap button, cleaning the electronics up, a few drops of oil and some graphite and shes ready to rock the stage again!

Tonight on the bench is an Oscar Schmidt OG2K that needed a full bridge reset. This guitar holds sentimental value to my customer so it was worth it for him to repair this guitar. Laminate wood construction complicates things a bit, as I had to remove an entire layer of laminated wood. Once the bridge was reattached i learned that the nut had been cut WAY too low on the D, and G strings. A new nut just was not in the budget, so I used the ol bone shavings and super glue fill technique to get her done. Not my preferred method as its hard to get a clean result, but it works cleaning! We've got her all fixed up better than new! They can almost ALWAYS be fixed if you really want them fixed!

On the bench today is a Wolf Single Cut in for a total electronics upgrade, new pots, switch, caps, output jack, and wiring. Love the Abalone on this one!

Prototype #1 for the BGW S-PRO Vintage. Alder body, Roasted Maple neck/fretboard, Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Bonnie pickups, cts 250k pots with .22nF orange drop capacitor, treble bleed circuit, vintage wire, fender 5 way switch, on a Fender Custom Shop pickguard, Fender USA bridge, Kluson Deluxe vintage tuners switchcraft jack. I will be building a few more of these to offer up to the public this summer, or contact me for a full custom Build! Any style guitar can be done!

This was one HELL of a project... it fought me at EVERY TURN!!!... A Glen Burton gold les paul. It came to me stripped and with cheap Chinese pots. The customer wanted CTS pots, .022nF Orange Drop caps, vintage wire, to install custom pickups he had already got, dress and polish the frets, put on a set of Grover tuners, and set her up... I had to create spacers to fill in the routes that were MUCH TOO DEEP. I used birch ply that I had and created spacers based on a rub off pattern I made. I installed them using countersink screws so if someone wanted to install deeper pickups later the spacers would be easy to remove. Everything had to be modified on this build... top thickness where the toggle switch mounts had to be thinned 2/64s", the pot routes weren't big enough for CTS full sized pots and needed to be modified, routes for the wiring needed addressed.... just fought me every step of the way... but I got her! I guess I had gotten to comfortable with Les Paul conversions being fairly straightforward... this one showed me otherwise!

On the bench today is a Peavy Predator USA "strat", getting a custom set of hand wound single coils, new CTS 250k pots, Fender 5 way switch, .043 mf orange drop,, and vintage wire. These were some amazing guitars! USA built, and done right! Very cool guitar!
