August is one of the best months to catch trophy bass during low-light periods. As water temperatures peak, largemouth bass often become most active at daybreak, dusk, and after dark, moving into shallow water to feed before retreating to deeper, cooler cover during the heat of the day.

Pro Tip: Target points, w**d edges, submerged timber, and docks with topwater lures early and late, then switch to deep-diving crankbaits, football jigs, or Texas-rigged worms as the sun gets higher
