At the 79th Annual Tony Awards, held June 7 at Radio City Music Hall, sound designer Kai Harada found himself in an enviable and, by his own account, slightly terrifying position: nominated in the Best Sound Design for a Musical category for two productions, both supported by Meyer Sound systems. Grahame Lesh kicked off the 2026 Terrapin Roadshow traveling concert series in Northern California last month in Monte Rio, featuring performances from a talented lineup of artists that continues to interpret the music of the Grateful Dead.

Supported by UltraSound, LLC and presented by Terrapin Crossroads with Paper Moon, the sound system featured six LEOPARD line arrays per side paired with eight 900-LFC low frequency control elements, delivering clear, consistent coverage across the stunning setting under the redwoods.

“The roadshow brings us to unique outdoor settings and small amphitheaters. With Meyer Sound solutions across the tour, we know will provide consistent audio quality whether we are under the redwoods in a meadow or in a natural stone amphitheater,” said Matt Lawsky, tour producer with Paper Moon.

Meyer Sound is honored to continue its long association with the extended Grateful Dead family of musicians with our solutions supporting this summer tour with stops in California, Oregon and Colorado. Thanks to everyone involved in producing the Terrapin Roadshow, creating an incredible experience for artists and audiences alike. The next stop is in San Rafael, CA July 24-26.
