Today, Friday January 30th, many are observing a National Shutdown — stepping away from work, school, and spending.
It’s bold. It’s uncomfortable. And for small businesses like ours, it’s also vulnerable.
If you can: skip Amazon. Skip Target. Skip big box stores. Seek out local shops. Buy directly from makers. Support mutual aid. Support your neighbors. Every dollar is a vote for the kind of world you want to live in.
We’ll be open today to do things around the shop. If you do need to make a purchase, we kindly ask that you pay with cash.
Resistance doesn’t look the same for everyone.
For us, it looks like keeping our doors semi-open, staying rooted in community, and making space for action.
If you stop by, we’ll have envelopes and stamps available for anyone who wants to write to their representatives. We’re also donating 25% of today’s profits, split between NorCal Resist and CHIRLA.
