BicyCAL - UCB Student Bike Co-Op We are a volunteer-run student bike repair cooperative aiming to teach the UC Berkeley and local Bay Area community how to fix and maintain bikes.

We don’t charge for labor, only parts. We only accept cash; please come prepared. BicyCAL is a cooperatively run bicycle maintenance shop on the Berkeley campus that is run by students. We teach you how repair your bike

Our Fall 2024 hours are below; Wednesday is reserved for a bike workshop, which will be our decal replacement for this semester. In these workshops, we'll be going over the basics of bike maintenance and repair, such as how to true a wheel, fix a flat, understand different types of bikes + how they work, etc.

Please keep in mind that our hours are subject to change, and the best way to keep updated is to join our Discord (bit.ly/bicycal) or go to our website, bicycal.berkeley.edu for our most recent hours.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 4th from 4-8 pm, BicyCAL is having a free bike clinic for the local community! The clinic will run like our regular hours, but parts will be free while supplies last. Customers will be served on a first come, first serve basis. As usual, no new repairs will be accepted 30 minutes before closing (7:30 pm).

Volunteers are highly needed & appreciated! No experience is necessary, and you can stay as long or as little as you can.

BicyCAL is temporarily closed. We may open later in the summer. We will certainly be open in the fall, hours to be announced.

We are also excited to announce that after a 4 year hiatus we will be restarting our famous DeCal course, "Bicycle Maintenance and Repair," a 1 unit P/NP course which covers the fundamentals of owning a bicycle on campus, including bike repair, purchases, infrastructure, and repair. You don't need to be Lance Armstrong Jr. to sign up for this course - we welcome everyone interested in bikes on campus.

3. Build crazy frankenbikes out of junk parts
4. Ride your bike on our famous goon bike rides with us
5. Jam with the BicyCAL band (we're the only bike shop with their own house band)
6. Join a friendly, welcoming group of people who'd gladly give up their last caffeinated clif bar for you
