Two books. Two deadly games. A whole lot of trouble. 🖤

Step into Kaylie Smith's Wicked Games world with Phantasma and Enchantra — where haunted mansions, cursed palaces, dangerous bargains, deadly competitions, and dangerously irresistible love interests come together.

Whether you're navigating nine deadly challenges or pretending to be madly in love to survive, one thing is certain: falling for the wrong person might be the least of your worries.

If you love dark romantasy, gothic vibes, morally questionable men, and a little spice, these need to be on your TBR.

Available at The Local Chapter!

We're open 10-7 with our Costume Contest beginning at 5!

One quick heads-up: we'll be closing at 7:00 PM on Saturday so Chelsea and I can get out of our bookish little world and take our own kiddos trick-or-treating. 🖤

🍻 Benson has a Social District, y’all!

Your drink can go for a walk, too. 😂

Stretching from the roundabout to The Grove, Benson’s Social District lets you grab a drink from participating businesses like The Local Chapter and our friends at The Letterman, then stroll through the designated area with your properly stickered drink.

Finished one? Head to another participating spot and try something new!

Come sip, stroll, shop local, and enjoy downtown Benson. Just remember to follow the district boundaries and rules!

Our Apple C***r Mimosas are pretty yummy and a great start to a fall shopping day!

Support local, enjoy downtown, and we'll see you around! 🍻📚

📚 A QUICK UPDATE ON A Court of Splintered Harmony

We have a little update for everyone waiting on A Court of Splintered Harmony.

Unfortunately, there have been shipping delays affecting independent bookstores, and we’re dealing with those delays here at The Local Chapter, too.

For those of you who preordered your copies from us, your books are expected to arrive tomorrow! ❤️

However, the additional advanced copies we ordered for the store are now expected to arrive on November 3rd.

We know how exciting a new release can be, and we were just as excited to have these books in your hands as you were to get them. We’re disappointed by the delay, too, but we appreciate your patience and support more than you know.

Thank you for continuing to show up for your local bookstore. Every preorder, every visit, and every book you take home helps us keep doing what we love. We’re so grateful you're here. 🖤📖

Happy Friday! 📚

If your weekend plans need a little more reading material, we've got you covered.

We just got in Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett, Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros, more historical fiction, and a small restock of books for our elementary-age readers!

Whether you're looking for your next read or something for your little bookworm, come spend a little time with us.

Fair warning: you may come in for one book and leave with three. It happens. 😂

We're open 12–8 today, and we'd love to see you!

10/22/2026

Look what just arrived at The Local Chapter! 📚

Kathryn Stockett is back with The Calamity Club!

Trust us, it’s the 600-page historical fiction masterpiece your fall reading stack needs!

The coffee is hot (or cold 😉) and the w**e/mimosas are ready to be poured! Hang out on the couch, and get lost in 1933 Mississippi.

We're open today 12pm to 9pm for the Ghost Tour tonight! Don't forget to go by to get your tickets! Only two nights left!
