My father is none other than El Fuente from the famous Oregon Breeder Kay Patterson of Hinterland Ranch in Sisters, Oregon. My mother is Kobra's Sahalia out of the great Argentine Kobra that was imported from Argentina. When I was very young, I had a breathing issue that my humans couldn't prove to be either a birth defect or something genetic. Just in case it was genetic they had me gelded to pre

vent the possibility of passing down something negative to my offspring. I have a terrific life and enjoy my important job here at Wild Oak Llamas. In 2008 Rick and Mary took me to the ALSA Grand National completion in Lincoln Nebraska. I won the ALSA Grand National Non-Breeder Championship.

Well this morning my time here on earth came to an end. I lived just over 18 years and had a wonderful life. In my youth I enjoyed competing in llama shows and even won the ALSA National Grand Champion Non-Breeder back in 2008 along with Heylee who won the National Grand Champion Suri Female.
I want to thank everyone I had the pleasure of meeting through out my lifetime for loving me and showing me such adventures. I had a wonderful life with no regrets.

Just a reminder to my humans, this is how I looked before you gave me this hideous haircut. But, at the same time, thank you because I do feel much better without all those mats. Thank goodness there is no mirror down here in my pasture, just saying!!! Love you both anyway..

What a wonderful couple of days. My Human, Rick's, long lost nephew found him this past week. His name is Frank Biffle and his bride is Tiffany Biffle. They arrived yesterday and now I have two new "human family members" . I'm so lucky to have Rick and Mary Adams, they love me like one of their two legged kids. As Mary always says, Life is Good...
You know what is funny, Frank looks a lot like Rick Adams!! Strong genes in the bloodline.

OK, let me tell you about this Sutter Butte Hike my humans took me on yesterday. This is me standing outside my trailer along side LinLee Llamas Van, and my little friend WOL Cleocatra's Dancer tied up behind my trailer, waiting for the hike to begin. It was a beautiful morning and everyone was excited to spend the day together doing something great.
Dancer was suppose to carry the pack for our humans lunch...NOT ME!! Then my Mary was told that Dancer was to young to carry any weight, so...you guessed it, my job again!!! I hate to carry the pack any more. At my age I should just be allowed to walk and just enjoy the journey.

Next picture is my human Rick leading me up the hill carrying that pack.

Picture 3 is when we finally made it to the top of the mountain and the next shot is us under the Oak Trees having lunch.

We were told after lunch that it was just a small hill to climb and then it would be easy downhill the rest of the way back to the trailer. Small Hill...ya, right. Just look at how hard the humans had to work at getting us up there. We knew better but ended up following them up anyway. Just look at my Mary pulling on my lead trying to convince me that we could do this together..in the long run, she was right.

After reaching the top of that hill, time to head down and back to the trailer. Here I am with my Mary starting the downhill decent. There was a slight grade but then sweet sailing the rest of the way. Oh wait, a large tree has fallen across the road down the hill so instead of following the trial down to the left, we had to climb the mountain to the right up behind those trees. Well, needless to say, I stopped several time to rest and so did Dancer. I know Rick and Mary were actually happy since it gave them a chance to rest as well without looking wimpy to their human friends. Face it, we were all out of shape for this adventure.
The last photo I have to share today is the last downhill portion of the trip. The property owners home is in sight and so is my trailer. See the lady in behind the red llama, well, that is Bo one of the property owners. She was a real sweetheart and carried my panniers for me while Rick carried my saddle and walked me the rest of the way. I was so excited I almost trotted the rest of the way back but was actually to tired to do so.
Seriously, it was a great adventure and a beautiful day to be with family and friends. Next time I will have a hair cut and NO PACK...OK!!

Things are getting crazy around here at Wild Oak Llamas. My humans are having to sell a lot of my family and friends. They have to do what they have to do. At least they are keeping me and a few of my special friends. If anyone is looking for a quality foundation llama this is the place to look. Check out the website for our ranch. www.wildoakllamas.com. The auction is set for Feb 8th - the 13th. Justin Timm is the auctioneer and he really knows the value of our bloodlines that are in the sale.
