We have quite the new book haul for you this week! It’s a little bit of everything, just the way we like it.

‘Whistler’ by Ann Patchett: This latest novel from the award winning author follows a woman in her 50’s reconnecting with a man who was her step father. They reflect on where things went wrong, right, and everything in between. A timely tale reminding us that love endures, and how important it is to be seen by others. (Signed copy)

‘The Book of Tarot’ by Sarah Huneidi-Palmer: An all encompassing guide to tarot for veterans and beginners alike. It blends history, technique and intuition to help you master the art of reading tarot.

‘The Typing Lady’ by Ruth Ozeki: In this collection of short stories, Ozeki spans geography and era, all the while confronting the idea of the stories we tell ourselves and why. (Signed copy)

‘The Children’ by Melissa Albert: Guinevere and her brother Ennis live a unique childhood; their mother is a writer of a very popular series where her children are the main characters in a fantastical realm, while her real children are borderline feral and spending most of their time in the woods alone. After a devastating fire leaves the siblings as the only survivors, their lives are taken down a path they never could have imagined. (Signed copy)

‘The Unicorn Hunters’ by Katherine Arden: Blending fantasy and historical fiction, this novel follows a soon to be queen in occupied Brittany. She refuses to be the last queen, so while feigning allegiance to France, she organizes a unicorn hunt into the rumored magical forest of Brocéliande to save her crown. (Signed copy)

‘Land’ by Maggie O’Farrell: This story follows a father and son as they travel across Ireland following the Great Hunger. Their task is to create a map of all of Ireland following the tragedy. After an incident leaves the father struggling to complete their job, the young son is forced to not only complete the map, but to get them home. (Signed copy)

The first Pride was a riot, after all🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Pride month is always a great excuse to highlight some of our staff favorites and bestsellers, and every year it includes more and more banned books. In 2026 q***r stories, q***r voices, and q***r people are being increasingly oppressed. It’s a tale as old as time, and it has no place in an indie bookshop. To our q***r staff, customers, vendors, and community members: We see you. We love you. Every month.

Our rotating section this month features as many of our favorite LGBTQ+ books as we can fit, and we will continue swapping them all month long. We pulled books from an array of genres, reaffirming that q***r stories and authors belong in every section.
