Monday on Main Street! We have sales in a couple of spaces in the shop, I am pricing new things as fast as I can, and we are changing out windows and going full speed into fall. I am ready for the beautiful colors of fall and I am more than ready for milder weather. I am picking up several pieces of pretty old furniture this week and going to look at more pieces on Tuesday, so I will reduce a few pieces that are in the shop to make room for more.

Monday on Main Street tomorrow! This past week was very busy and a lot of fun with quite a few new shoppers and a few big pieces of furniture moving on to new homes.
House of Hamill will be in concert at Whistle Stop Antiques on Saturday November 14th! I saw this American/ Canadian Irish/Folk trio play at Folk Alliance and loved their music.
I will post details of the concert plus dates of some upcoming events for the shop as soon as they are confirmed. My 17th Autumn and Christmas season at Whistle Stop are coming up fast! Hope to see you soon.

Tomorrow is already a new Monday on Main! We will have sales in a few of our areas throughout the shop AND some new things came in today, so Monday shoppers get the first peek at them! There are several Autumn pieces and at least fifteen beautiful old perfume bottles in very nice condition!
September 12 there will be a Fall Crawl on Main Street. There will be several vendors with their products that will be hosted at some of the shops on Main Street. We will have some at Whistle Stop and the event will run from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. There will be some food trucks in addition to my neighboring Main Street eateries. This is a great reason to get the display windows changed and make sure all my fall things are out and ready to go!
I also have a fantastic concert booked for November and will share the details later this week.

It was a busy Monday on Main Street and a wonderfully fun day today! There are still lots of things to catalog, price, and arrange. A set of wonderful furniture pieces came in Sunday evening. Monday I cleaned the pieces and applied a generous coat of Fusion H**p Oil and left it to soak in overnight. Tuesday I had a happy rejuvenated table! I will give it one more coat in a day or two, just for good measure. This h**p oil always amazes me!

Monday on Main Street tomorrow! I spend a big part of today at the shop moving furniture in preparation for a delivery this evening of some lovely big pieces. Junk Journal class tomorrow evening at the shop. If you would like details or would like to sign up for the class, contact Sally at the shop (816-322-0200). Jade is a great teacher and this is a wonderful group of women!
We will have some sales in the shop the remainder of the week Books are on sale from #200 and #777 to make room for new ones. Cookbooks are included. #39 has 10% off her items. Framed art from #200 and #777 is 10% off unless marked firm.
I just wanted to mention that Whistle Stop is a Diamond Dealer for Fusion paints and products. We alway stock all the colors of each of the Fusion lines- Mineral Paint, Milk Paint, and the Alchemy Paint. We also carry the accessories and other products from Fusion.
Laurie has a good selection of the Oliver Pluff teas and coffees.
Fall is slowly and visibly sneaking into the shop.
