A big THANK YOU to everyone who bid on our donated auction item at the White Nose Pete Fly Fishing Festival in Rangeley, Maine!

Your support means a great deal to us and helps us continue doing what we love—crafting handcrafted fishing nets while giving back to the fly fishing community that has supported us along the way.

We’re grateful to be part of such a generous and passionate group of anglers. Congratulations to the winning bidder, and thank you again to everyone who participated!

Another trip down memory lane. My father took me on an epic trip to fish the Madison in 1988. At that time the river had over 6000 fish per mile, this was before whirling disease decimated the rainbow trout population. It’s still good today with 3 to 5000 fish per mile but it was epic back in the day. We were able to do two float trips down the river, losing count of how many fish we caught by the end of the day, we just knew our arms couldn’t take anymore.
We saw a few other drift boats on the water, but nothing comparable to the traffic of today. Is there a point where the number of anglers need to be regulated, maybe not far in the future.

The place where a life long addiction 🎣started over 40 years ago. Back then this place was sort of a secret or barely known to most. Today it’s impossible to spot burn as this place has been on fire now for many years.

Thankful to have a dad that took me on a camping/fishing trip every year, put a fly rod in my hand and gave me a vise to spin years of memories on. We’ve spent 100’s of hours on this river and have easily had a five fold return on fish to hand as well as the good memories.

Luckily for us we met a guy here named Bob, one of the fishiest dudes around. Grateful he took pity that we couldn’t catch a fish to save our soul. Taking us under his wing he showed us what most people weren’t doing at the time. Fishing Nymphs, full sink lines, and homemade sink tips, as sink tips were an anomaly at the time.

Many things have changed over the decades, but the one thing that will never change are all the great memories that were made.
