Today I wrapped up Basic Canning classes at Hannegan Farm Store. It seemed that most folks were interested in learning about pressure canning. I will be doing classes in the fall at a couple of locations, but would be happy to do private classes on pressure canning or any other food preservation method. My schedule for August is limited,as my granddaughter is due any time between now and the 3rd week of August. But, if you want to schedule something, please let me know.

Thanks to all of you who are helping me build my site. I ill be teaching Basic Canning at Hannegan Farm & Home Store on Wednesday August 1st, 7:00 - 8:30 and Saturday August 4th, 10:00 - 11:30. Canned Salmon with the Tulalip Tribe last night - 42 pints total. If anyone wants to can some let me know. I used to be afraid of pressure canners, but no more.

Finished canning and drying apricots earlier this week. Picked some cherries last weekend and made some pie filling for the freezer and for us to eat right away. Cherry pie is Johnny's favorite and it was pretty good.
