FIDDLE CLASSES

Learn to play the fiddle in a friendly, supportive environment! Weekly Group Fiddle Classes for teens and adults begin in January at Quist Violins. Tuition is $40 per month for all classes. Call (360)647-1984 for details!

1. Beginning Fiddle
Mondays, 6:1

0-7:10pm
Learn to read music and play the violin in this fun introductory course for teens and adults!

2. Old-Time Fiddle
Tuesdays, 6:10-7:10pm
Develop proficiency in 7 major keys while adding 40 old-time fiddle tunes to your repertoire! An excellent "refresher" for violinists with previous experience.

3. Into to Celtic Fiddle
Wednesdays, 6:10-7:10 pm
An introduction to Celtic fiddle styles, ornamentation, bowing technique, and harmony.

4. Advanced Celtic Fiddle
Thursdays, 6:10-7:30 pm
Further continuation of skills learned in Level 3 with an emphasis given to performance and concert sets. Quist Violins is also proud to offer Private Instruction in classical violin and viola by Jane Perkins.

Quist Violins is currently closed due to road conditions in the north county where we live. With freezing rain expected on Friday, we anticipate and hope to open again on Saturday. We will update when conditions improve. Be safe!

Hello Friends! Quist Violins is closed today due to extreme ice conditions. It took 3 hours (round trip) to drive from our home in the north county to Ferndale before we decided to turn back. So sorry if this puts a crimp in your Christmas plans. We will be open next week Tue through Friday regular hours 12 - 6 pm. Please be warm and safe as you celebrate the season with loved ones.

Hello Friends! I was just informed by a concerned customer that my page does not reflect the fact that we are open regular hours - and have been since July. Apparently, my July update didn't take.

So, yes, the showroom is open! Business hours are 12 - 6 weekdays and 10 - 4 Saturdays. Please wear a mask in the shop (hand sanitizer is provided). Hope to see you soon!
