We have Memorial Day, our regular Last Saturday of the Month Model Railroaders Get-Together, some great sales, summer layout season getting ready to roll, and something very special for RailMaster Hobbies — our 15th Anniversary Certificate of Recognition from the California State Senate.

In honor of my Mom’s baby sister Rosa Acosta who retired after 25 years from Chihuahua Pacifico Railroad in Chihuahua Mexico. She received her Angel wings 2 days ago in Los Angeles, California. May she Rest In Peace. 🙏🏼❤️✝️🌹🚂🚂🚂🚂

We’ve added a very cool new display to the shop — a Metroboard from Designrules.co, and it’s already turning heads.

This unique piece of tech-art shows the real‑time location of every train running on the LA Metro system. Each light represents a train moving along its line, updating every few seconds using live transit data. If you’ve ever wondered what the Metro looks like in motion, this board brings it to life right here in the store.

We originally backed this as a Kickstarter project, and after months of anticipation, they’ve finally arrived. The craftsmanship is excellent — solid materials, clean design, and a mesmerizing display that railfans and transit enthusiasts will appreciate instantly.

We want to thank everyone who came in today to help us celebrate our 15th anniversary.

When we first opened the store, we never could have imagined the journey ahead. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people, building lasting friendships, and serving customers who support not only our shop, but the model railroading community as a whole.

We also want to take a moment to remember the customers and friends who were part of the RailMaster Hobbies family but are no longer with us. Their stories, conversations, laughter, and love for the hobby helped shape the spirit of this place. They remain part of our journey, and we’re grateful for the time we had with them.

We truly appreciate each and every one of you. Your loyalty, encouragement, and shared passion mean more to us than we can express. Thank you for an incredible 15 years — and here’s to many more years of keeping the trains running.
