Ohhhhh It took me a minute to dig these up! Any guesses when these were taken?! Welllll over 10 years ago!

Fun fact: I was on the Ski Bellevue Team for most of my time throughout middle & high school. Water skiing was pretty much my sport growing up, and I absolutely loved it.

So, Doing something to support the ski team has been on my bucket list for quite a while. They are such an asset to Bellevue — bringing so many people to our community throughout the summer and putting on FREE shows for everyone to enjoy!

For those who may not know, the Bellevue Ski Team is a nonprofit organization that relies solely on donations and community support to keep those shows going.

And one of the coolest things about the team? Anyone can join, and there truly is a place for everyone. From a variety of acts on the water to helping behind the scenes with ropes, equipment, costumes & everything it takes to put on a show.

So I’m especially excited that our final event at the shop before baby gives us the opportunity to give back to an organization that holds a lot of great memories for me.🤍

Come see us Thursday, grab some yummy food from Mickey's Kitchen Bellevue, Iowa & a drink, let the kids do some painting with us, and help us support the Bellevue Ski Team before their show this weekend!

“Come paint with me on Thursday for our last event at the shop before I become a big brother!”

We’ve been wanting to find an opportunity to support Ski Bellevue, and with a show coming up this weekend, the timing felt pretty perfect! 🌊

Join us Thursday for Plates for a Purpose: Ski Team Social ! Mickey's Kitchen Bellevue, Iowa will be serving from 4:30–7:30 PM — grab some yummy food from the truck, bring it inside to eat, grab a drink & stay awhile!

☔️ We know there’s some rain in the forecast, so take it as the perfect opportunity to get the kids out of the house for an indoor craft! We’ll have a rock painting station set up for the kiddos to paint rocks that we’ll later place around Bellevue for others to find & enjoy.

Our Bellevue Summer Buckets will also be available for a free-will donation, with proceeds benefiting the Bellevue Water Ski Team.

Come spend the evening with us, enjoy some yummy food & a drink, and help us support another wonderful organization that makes Bellevue such a great place to be.

Yesterday was indeed a wonderful day spent with some pretty wonderful talented ladies. It was busy at our place & I neglected to get photos of everyone! But still so appreciative to everyone that decided to spend the morning with us.. vendors & attendees. 🤍

You can catch us back at the shop THIS THURSDAY for our last 🍽️ Plates for a Purpose Event before I am on maternity leave! 🍼 This month, we will be raising funds for Ski Bellevue! We will have some fun themed drinks, a rock painting station for the kiddos & Mickey’s Kitchen serving from 4:30-7:30pm. Stop by & bring a friend to support a great cause! 🎨🍔

I want to thank the girls who collaborated with me on this event. Sounded like a happy successful morning for all.. that’s what it’s all about. 🤍

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our launch party last night. It feels so good to be loved and supported by this community, and it’s something I’ll never take for granted. 🤍

It was such a wonderful opportunity to visit with so many of you, answer questions, and share this new adventure. We received so much positive feedback and excitement around the boxes, and we can’t wait to continue sharing more with you.

For those just joining us, our Experience Boxes are a collaboration between Day By Day Mercantile and All Things Sourdough. We currently offer four cooking experiences—pizza, pasta, pop-tarts, and pie.

📦Each box includes the specialty tools you’ll need to make the recipe, a handwritten custom gift message (written by me, but from you!), a keepsake apron, a beautifully designed recipe magazine with step-by-step instructions, and a seasonal simmer pot.

📦📦THE BIG ONE… every box also includes a QR code that unlocks an exclusive cooking class with Megan, where she walks you through the recipe step by step—just like your own personal cooking show. We intentionally kept the videos short and easy to follow, around 13–15 minutes. I’ve even done them, so you know they are beginner friendly. 😉

We’ve always been a bit of an open book around here, and I think that’s part of what makes Day By Day what it is. Being vulnerable and sharing alllll the seasons of life with you is what humanizes our brand. 🤍

You’ve probably gathered that I’ve been busy behind the scenes developing our new Experience Boxes, which has meant some later nights and early mornings. I’m trying to put a bow on that project before we add a new little blessing to our family so I can take some time to just be.

We’re also gearing up for our first annual cattle sale in September, so that means spending as much time outside as we can right now supporting Kendall and our other family business… and yes that means nights spent picking up lots of p**p! 😅

At work, this week we’re getting ready to send out our annual mailing to 350 bank customers. This year I had the opportunity to design the magazine featuring local entrepreneurs along with the cover of the book that accompanies it!

And in between it all, we’re trying to soak up these last few weeks with Kolter before he gets promoted to big brother. It’s crazy how fast time goes!

I’m not going to lie- this week has felt a little overwhelming trying to stay afloat. Life is beautifully full right now. I wanted to extend a thank you to everyone who has recently joined us, and to those of you who’ve been following along since the beginning. We’re so grateful you’re here!
