Wander into the bookshop this Saturday, June 6, from 1–2 p.m. for a musical treat!

Cellist Rhonda Branneky will perform a free live set, with optional donations supporting the Belleville Philharmonic and the Villa Hills Gospel Chapel missions.

The Belleville Philharmonic is also looking for string players and concert‑goers. Give them a follow to stay up‑to‑date on performances and learn more about joining their community.

Great news! Due to popular demand, we’re expanding the Cursive Writing Workshop to include kids who’ve just finished grades 2–6.

The first session is this Saturday, June 6, at 10am. Don’t worry if you can’t make it — there are five more sessions to follow (no class on Saturday June 27 and July 4). The entire six‑week course is only $10 total.

To add a little fun, students can redeem a candy prize from The Candy Bar at the end of each session by turning in a signed certificate.

Give us a call to sign up and save a seat!

Begin or strengthen your creative writing at the Belleville Books Writers’ Workshop!

Whether you’re starting your first story or finally tackling that novel, screenplay, memoir, or poetry collection, this workshop offers a supportive space to grow your skills and stay inspired. Over the past ten years, the workshop has helped inspire several published novels and collections — yours could be next.

Led by Adam Sydney—an instructor with two master’s degrees in creative writing and more than twenty years of experience—the workshop explores the techniques professional writers use, how to give and receive helpful feedback, and how to build momentum on your projects. Writers of all genres and experience levels are welcome.

Classes run Saturdays, June 6–August 8, from 12–2 p.m. at Belleville Books, with virtual participation available.

Cost is $125 for the full 10‑week course (20 hours of instruction). Class size is limited to keep the experience engaging, so give us a call soon at 618-744-READ (7323) to register.
