When my son was a baby, he loved a soft blankie to snuggle with when we was sleeping. He had a few blankies and I did lots of laundry so he could have one each day to sleep with. A few years later I had my daughter, Lucy, and she was the same was- obsessed about her blankie to snuggle with and rub the silky tag. I was on the hunt to find more blankies so I didn't have to do laundry all the time an

d couldn't find cute wild print fabric for a great price. So I got some cute fabric and 1 sewing class and the sewing started. Both of my kids just picked one silky tag to rub and all the others just got into the way so then I started to make them with the tags just on one corner. I also was on the hunt for cute fun burp cloths and couldn't find too many that I liked. When I was pregnant with my son, Ethan, I got a gift of a handmade burp cloth and fell in love with it. It was cute, fun fabric and it worked great for the tuff clean up of spit-up. I had never seen these burp cloths made like this out of fabric and flannel. I tweeked my version of them and I had my own supply. People stated to notice and wanted me to make them for gits and so on and then E & LuLu grew bigger. {I still use that first burp cloth for a "snot rag" when my kids have a runny nose. It works great!}
So, I then started my Etsy shop and Facebook and we keep growing and growing! In August of 2013 I started making hand stitched name gowns. The perfect gift for a new baby or the coming home outfit. Love making them! For all the behind the scene photos of E & LuLu:

I am located in Swansea,IL just 15 mins away from St. E & LuLu is located in only 1 shop right now. My mom and I own a brick+mortar shop in downtown Belleville with all local artist and vendors. Its like an Etsy shop in person! It is called Local Lucy's and we started with 23 local vendors up to over 90! I love to see what everyone's "favorite" item or if you "favorite" my shop. I appreciate all my great fans! And would love to make something special for you. In June 2012, I got invited to send a baby gift to Kourtney Kardashian & Reese Witherspoon! July 2013, I also got invited to send Kim Kardashian(June 2013) & Jessica Simpson(Aug 2013), Scott Wolf (June 2014) gifts to their babies too!
