“why do you solely focus on the body?”
because that’s one of the first things scrutinized about ourselves. i want to uplift and encourage love, confidence, etc. another reason is because less judgement can be made when faces aren’t even given the option to be seen.
on a different note, remember when I mentioned how patterns are the first thing I look for? it’s because shapes, lines & colors, combined, are highly eye catching. and what better way to shine your light than to let your clothing do the initial ?

did you know that “brand new” clothes have actually been worn already? the whole ‘try on’ concept and fitting rooms allows us to envision ourselves in the pieces we put on before completing the potential purchase. so remember…. nothing is brand new in the ✨

In order to learn what works, one must figure out what doesn’t. I’d like to be ahead of the game before DUB’s 1 year anniversary comes up (pssst! it’s in August).
Whilst you won’t be able to shop our items, virtual styling sessions and topics will still be on the rise 🥰!

who wore it better?
as a 5’2 young woman, I have always limited myself when it came to clothes. it wasn’t until I finally found myself open to different creative concepts with fashion. this here was a simple scissor to fabric cut, but after I was finished, a sense of excitement came over me because I had never done anything like this before!
DUB has allowed me to showcase so many new talents and I am glad you all are here to embark on the journey! never be afraid to do a new thing to something old in your closet. you may end surprising yourself 🥰

Sooo.. I’m sure you already know how much I love thrifting. I mean.. I started an e-store just so I’d have a reason to 😂 But what I haven’t shared is that it’s therapy for me.
The act in itself mirrors puzzles which means my mind is being stimulated and challenged. I LOVE TO BE CHALLENGED! This is why I become so eager when I get a sale or someone reaches out asking for a service I offer.
How can shopping be therapeutic? Well, I had that same question for years. It wasn’t until I found my version of shopping that it clicked. Ever saw a book, old record, frame or scarf that caught your eye? And you’d spend your last $1 on it? Well, that’s me 😂
It can be a bit dangerous if boundaries aren’t implemented, but it’s the joyous escape I feel once I have that eye catching piece in hand. I know it’s not everlasting! However, it’s the kind of out of body experience this gal needs as a distraction from constant reminders of the horrors of this world ✨
