This past Thursday Sweet Ree’s Candy Company was awarded “Best New Business” and “Spring Display Contest” awards by the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you to the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce, Destination Bellaire, all of our fellow Bellaire business owners, and all of you that have loved and supported our little sweets shop since we opened our doors.

We are immensely grateful and thankful for this recognition. We are thrilled to be part of such a wonderful community, and we look forward to welcoming you all in the days, months, and years to come!

It’s Thursday! And how best to celebrate another day closer to the weekend than with a little dash of candy history.

Today we honor the Necco Wafer. The Necco Wafer is a crunchy sugar wafer that comes in a variety of flavors packed into a handy little roll. Necco Wafers were created after the first American candy wafer machine was patented in 1847. Since then the Necco Wafer is thought to be one of the oldest American candies that has been in continuous production and in its original conceptual design.

Fun fact: Necco Wafers were provided to American Armed Forces during WW2 as part of their rations due to the candy’s ability to not melt and sustain minimal damage during transit over land and sea.

Stop in and grab yourself a Necco Wafer roll and to try this American classic.

Kicking it off with our Brownie Mallows! A customer and staff favorite, each mallow packed with REAL brownie pieces!

Tiramisu Mallow also made a come-back, as it was extremely popular during Christmas time and had many requests for more!

Lychee Jubes! After months of struggling to get these back, we FINALLY have them! If lychee isn’t your favorite flavor, we have mango, grape, strawberry and original in stock as well.

Our house-made cotton candy! It comes in tubs, or if you want to have a bit more fun… we also have our Sparklecloud Swizzles, which is a Rock Candy Swizzle Stick with our cotton candy… hidden on the inside is edible glitter! Swirl it around in your favorite drinks for a fun sparkly surprise!

Happy New Year!! We're thankful for the love, support, and encouragement you've shown Sweet Ree’s Candy Company over the past year. Since January of 2025 our team had created new marshmallow flavors and other sweet treats that have quickly become beloved by many.
