A Humble Request During a Difficult Season
Usually, I’m not someone who asks for help.
Lately, however, life has become incredibly challenging. Bills continue to pile up, and despite working and taking classes, I find myself facing another difficult season. It’s a strange place to be as an author whose books are beginning to gain traction and recognition around the world. From the outside, people often assume success means stability, but the reality is that many creative journeys are filled with obstacles that aren't always visible.
I suppose we all experience seasons of hardship at some point. You keep telling yourself that one day things will change, that all the hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance will lead to brighter days. I still believe that. I’m hoping that day comes soon.
At the moment, I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward, but the truth is that survival mode has found its way back into my life. The thought of living out of a car again feels like a chapter I never expected to revisit. It's humbling to realize how quickly circumstances can change and how much difference a little support can make for a person and their family.
Sometimes pride prevents us from accepting the blessings that others are willing to offer. Today, I've decided to set that pride aside and simply be honest: I could use some help.
