We’ve had a huge increase recently in the number of trench gun builds coming through the shop, and I’m not complaining one bit.

This one turned out absolutely stunning. The finish came together beautifully, but that wood is what really makes this build stand out. There’s just something about a classic trench gun with a beautiful set of wood that never gets old.

The British Sten Mk II is an iconic firearm of the Second World War and one of my personal favorites.

The Sten was born out of necessity. Britain needed a submachine gun that could be produced quickly, in large numbers, and at a relatively low cost during a war where time and resources were in short supply. Its simple design, open-bolt operation, and 30-round magazine made it well suited to the demands of wartime mass production.

Recently, I had a great customer reach out and ask if we would take on a project to build two semi-auto Sten replicas for him. Naturally, I was excited to take on the challenge.

This is the beginning of the project: two receiver tubes prepared and ready for the next stage.

It’s been a busy day in the shop! We’ve spent the daysdemilling a batch of UMP45s, carefully inspecting, organizing, and packaging the parts kits.

The hard work is done, and they’re boxed up and shipping out tomorrow.
