The Merchant's Hall
Today, we are opening the hall to War Maidens Co, a boutique shop founded by the mother-daughter duo Renee and Tyra Anderson.
War Maidens Co began as a passion project. With help from family, that hobby slowly grew into a business, and from there it expanded into the online shop it is today. That is the kind of beginning we like to see in the Merchant's Hall.
Not some faceless company pretending to have a story. Not a corporate brand with a fake rustic font and a "handmade" label slapped on top like a cheap sticker. This is a family-built business that started with shared interest, encouragement and the decision to turn creative work into something larger.
Their shop carries a mix of home goods, skincare, jewelry, clothing, and accessories, with inspiration drawn from Norse heritage and fantasy-world references. That gives War Maidens Co a broad marketplace feel, part boutique, part craft table, part modern shield-wall of useful and beautiful things. And yes, that is a professional way of saying they have a little bit of everything.
The old hall was never only one thing. It had makers, traders, storytellers, guests, kin, travelers and people bringing what they had to offer, and a living community needs that same variety today. War Maidens Co brings that spirit through a family-run shop built from passion, creativity, and shared work.
Take a look at their shop, follow their page and support them if something speaks to you. Their links are in the comments.
Every Saturday, we open The Merchant's Hall for Pagan and Heathen businesses, makers, artists, writers, craftsmen, teachers, and creators. If you want your business to be considered for a future spotlight, look for the Saturday Merchant's Hall post, drop your link there, tell us what you make or offer and share a little about why you started.
This is not just about selling things. It is about helping our community see the people who are building, crafting, teaching, creating, and carrying their work with purpose. The hall has room for honest hands.
