Music and skateboarding have always gone hand in hand, and we’re excited to team up with our friends at Fender and Cal Skate for the Rockstar Energy Open at Waterfront Park, August 14–16.

Five Star Guitars and Fender are providing guitars for the Cal Skate stage and ramp, where anyone can pick one up and play between bands throughout the weekend. Cal Skate will also host a Northwest-only skate contest alongside a weekend that brings some of the best professional skaters in the world to Portland.

Best of all, the guitars won’t stop making noise when the weekend is over. They’ll become part of Cal Skate’s collection of music gear, providing instruments for bands to play at future skatepark events and nonprofit programs around the region.

The Rockstar Energy Open is free to attend. Come skate, play some music, or just hang out with us at Waterfront Park.
