Hey friends!
First off, as always, I want to thank everyone who has followed me and supported me on this small business path. I’ve grown such a love for this hobby, and it continues to grow because of all of you. 🧡 But with that being said, I feel there is something I need to address. I wanted to hop on here and share some insight that I’ve been having for a while involving my crochet products and how I choose to price things.
There’s quite a bit of people who understand and respect the prices, but then there’s quite a bit of people who seem irritated and scowl at me. Several have made rude comments towards me that really make me question the worth of my products.
My initial reaction is to inform people that most of the cost comes from the materials alone. Yarn is NOT cheap. Especially quality yarn. For those of you who don’t know, the cost of yarn is rising along with everything else. And let’s not forget the other materials I typically use such as bamboo beads, pillow stuffing, accessory items, etc. Sometimes I don’t even include my time spent making the products into the price because I want to be reasonable with my customers.
Handmade items take so much effort, time, and love. To end this message, I just ask that you keep the negative comments to yourself and try to be more understandable. If my products are too expensive for you, then save it for those who appreciate it more.
