It's been quite a while since I posted on here, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy! Between the kids going back to school, fall sports, work, and everything else, I know I can't be the only one who has been going nonstop! So, this week I have committed myself to post at least once every day to try and get caught up on sharing some of my recent creations.

Today, I'm sharing a 50th birthday celebration cake for a nurse practitioner. Red velvet cake inside, all handmade fondant decorations outside.

Did somebody say candy?! Candy cakes are very popular right now, and I this is one trend I can really get behind!

Here are three candy cakes I did this week! First cake is funfetti cake with raspberry pastry cream filling, vanilla buttercream, and white chocolate ganache drip, topped with funfetti macarons, meringue cookies, donuts, sugar cookies, marshmallows, and various other sweet treats. Second cake is funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream, white chocolate ganache drip, and topped with macarons, meringue cookies, and candy! Cake #3 is almond cake with vanilla buttercream, covered with nerds, sour patch kids, gumballs, and various other treats, with vanilla cupcakes, each topped with a gumball and sour patch kid.

Graduation season has been a busy season! So many graduates, from preschool to high school, so I thought I'd do a special post dedicated just to graduations to share some of the ones I haven't already posted.

The first picture is for a local high school graduate who loves theater. The bottom tier is vanilla cake, the top tier is chocolate, and all fondant decorations are handmade.

Cake #2 is for a preschool graduate and their classmates. Vanilla cake and chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, all frosted with cream cheese frosting.

Cake #3 is for another local high school graduate in their school colors. Vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, covered in fondant with handmade decorations.

Picture #4 is an assortment of different flavors of cupcakes, vanilla, chocolate mint, and salted caramel, decorated in the colors of the graduates future college.

I haven't posted in far too long, so I thought I would fix that tonight! This semi-naked cake and accompanying succulent cupcakes were for a first birthday, and this first gorgeous photo is from a local photographer and the mother of the birthday boy. Isn't it gorgeous?! I just love receiving photos from clients of my cakes, and she did a beautiful job with this one.

The cake is vanilla with vanilla buttercream, and the cupcakes are half vanilla and half chocolate peanut butter.
