In a heart-wrenching tragedy, three childrenāRylee, 10; Connor, 9; and Alena, 7ādied in a fire at their fatherās apartment in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on November 27, 2025. Joshua Kannin, their father, claimed he saw a small fire in the kitchen and fled to get help, but by the time authorities arrived, it was too late.
The fire investigation revealed disturbing details, such as disabled smoke alarms and the fatherās reckless actions, which may have contributed to the tragedy. Now, with felony charges of child neglect resulting in death, Joshua faces the consequences of his failure to protect his children.
