Got back out for a little dirt therapy today after being under the weather for a few days. Went back to the spot I have already found 10 silver coins and there were still some more waiting on me. Found a 1907 Barber quarter, no date SLQ, 1916 Merc. (maybe a D but cant decipher), (4) buffalos, (2) V nickels, a mystery coin I am still working to identify. (maybe a shield nickel). Several wheaties, pocket watch, several compacts cover, square nails, lock, harmonica reeds and some sort of strainer. Beautiful weather and great day hunting. I added a picture of all the trash I have dug the last few hunts. For all of you new people to the hobby or interested in getting into this hobby, the trash picture is more of what metal detecting is about. Promise you, there are more days with trash then treasure. I do have to say though, this has been one of the best weeks I have had since I started detecting. I ran the CTX3030 in Coins, Combined tones, +3 sensitivity, Ground coin, deep on.

Some truly outstanding people allowed me on their property and I stumbled upon all these finds in just a few days. The coins are all in great shape. The bullets and horse tack and buckles all came from what I believe was a civil war era encampment on one side of the property and the coins, tokens and compact all came from a completely different area. In our hobby the toughest aspect is persuading people to let you hunt on their property. The majority of people do not know what they walk over every day. The joy it gives all of us detecting nerds to find a place like this is immeasurable. It takes months and even years for some people to find these kind of items. A big Thank You to the property owners. If any of my friends out there are curious what is on your property, holler and we will find out. If anybody out there would like to get into this exciting hobby I am a full line dealer for all the major companies and have machines and accessories in stock just contact me.

Went out to my now Favorite Place on Earth for my second hunt on this property and was not disappointed. My hunting partner today was George (KING GEORGE) Wyant. We had a bet, $5 bucks for the first silver.
I Started off by hitting a 1919 Mercury Dime. WAHOO, I'm getting some King George money. Then my hunting partner hollered and said he had found the Civil War site we were initially looking for. When I got over there I immediately found (2) civil war era bullets. (KG had waited to tell me he was on the site until he had like (6) bullets. (He had a GREAT DAY, I will let him tell you about it.)
No sooner then we go double or nothing on the silver bet, KG hits a barber dime. Great. We continued to go double or nothing and went back and forth all day until end of the day KG hit a spill, Barber quarter and Barber dime. Great.
Anyway, I ended up with 1907 Barber quarter,1910 Barber dime, 1919 Merc dime, (3) Buffalo nickels, 1896 and 1907 IHP, a trade token (haven't been able to decipher yet), 1910 and 1926 wheaties, a "D" buckle, couple of horse tack rings and a large old compact, a very old and encrusted childs "sheriff" badge and (3) small metal buttons and a complete cuff link.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day here, couldnt have been any better. AND to get to hunt with KING GEORGE, (although he did go out of turn several times today), Priceless !!!!
I ran the 3030 in Coins, Combined tones, +3 sensitivity, Deep On, Ground Coin.
Going back tomorrow, STAY TUNED.
